I am proud to introduce a company I created with you in mind.
I have worked in the senior care industry for over ten years. I was called into the field of senior care at an early age. My grandmother, Dorothy, was placed in an Alzheimer's unit in the early 1980's. I witnessed the frustration and heartache my partents went through as we moved her through two communities and eventually lost our loved one to this disease.
Many afternoons in my grandmother's facility led to a desire to volunteer in a skilled nursing home while finishing high school. The joy I received working with seniors gave me the drive to pursue a degree in Gerontology. I completed my Master's from C.S.U. Fullerton in 2003, including over two years of internship roles in sites such as hospice, adult day care, senior fitness, social services, Meals on Wheels, and assisted living.
After ten years of working with the elderly in various capacities, I have learned each client is distinct with individual needs. Upon choosing a home for yourself or your loved one it is important to ensure ones care needs are met. Yet, we must also consider a person's background, personal preferences, medical status, budget, location, and ultimately what brings them joy each day.
I created Altus Placement Services after three years of working as a Care Manager seeking appropriate placements for challenging clients. I believe the placement process must be personalized and specific to a client's needs and desires. A successful placement must include a comprehensive assessment of a client's status. The experience deserves individualized attention and a personal connection.
Altus recognizes select placement options. Each care referral is personally interviewed and scored. I hope to have the honor of serving you and your family.
